Hensley, joining the practice in 1974 after graduating from the National College of Chiropractic. Together, they provided chiropractic care—think spinal adjustments, pain relief, and wellness support—to generations of locals, making this clinic a true pillar of the community. In fact, the clinic’s impact was so profound that when Dr. Hensley faced health challenges in 2014, his mentee, Dr. Nathan Carter, stepped in to take over the practice. Dr. Carter had interned with Dr. Hensley back in 2006, learning the ropes of chiropractic care, and he was determined to continue the tradition. While Dr. Carter kept the Hensley legacy alive, he moved the practice to a new spot at 608 Decatur Avenue, renaming it Carter Chiropractic and Wellness Center—a fitting way to honor the past while looking to the future.
